Fuji XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 and X-T3: Afternoon Cityscape Shots of NYC

Fuji XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 and X-T3: Afternoon Cityscape Shots of NYC:

With the corona virus cases on the rise, I spent some downtime during the holiday season looking through some of my older images on my back up drives, and thought I’d post a few cityscape shots that were my favorites.  I don’t think I’ve posted these before, and except for one, these were all taken with the Fuji XF 18-55mm f2.8-4 R LM OIS lens.  I’ve owned this lens since I bought my X-E1 with it as a kit combo.  It’s still one of my favorites in the Fuji collection. Weekly Portrait Post: Sunset With The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm

Weekly Portrait Post: Sunset With The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm:

Hey everyone.  Hope all of you enjoyed the holidays.  I have a bunch of stuff coming up but wanted to start off the new year with a post from a shoot I did before the corona virus cases started going up again.  I was shooting these images around sunset.  I consider this part of my weekly portrait posts, which I don’t really do weekly anymore.  Since the pandemic, it’s just been difficult to be that consistent with shoots, so I’ll periodically put up a few of these types of posts whenever I am able to get some new content as opposed to being consistent weekly (although I will try my best to keep them weekly).  So, let’s get on with the photos, and in them is Michelle (Instagram), who if you follow me on my Instagram, probably needs no introduction, since I believe I’ve posted her the most, since she was the first person I basically started shooting with :). Happy New Year, and What’s Coming Soon

Happy New Year, and What’s Coming Soon:

Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays, and happy new year. I’m writing to tell you that new articles and reviews are coming.  My December was filled with computer issues lol.  My laptop was at Apple for repairs for a couple of weeks although to Apple’s credit, they beat the estimated time of completion by being a week ahead of schedule :).  My spare computer’s screen also went ballistic on me haha, so that was useless.

Anyway, new L mount and Fujifilm stuff is coming.  I’ll get that Sigma 85mm f1.4 review out as fast as I can along with whatever L mount APS-C reviews I haven’t posted yet.  I also might possibly post an 85mm f1.4 and APO Summicron-SL 90mm comparison as well.  I also currently have the Sigma 105mm f2.8 DG DN ART Macro and 100-400mm lenses in my hands to review.  Lastly, I have the Fuji x-s10, which I’m almost done reviewing.  Of course, I also have some other stuff in the works, so stay tuned.  I’m going to try to get two more posts out this week.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season!

Today Only: Save $500 Off Sigma 40mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens

Today Only: Save $500 Off Sigma 40mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens:

For those interested, you can instantly save $500 off the Sigma 40mm f1.4 DG HSM Art lens at B&H Photo.  Sale end today though, and you can only get it in Nikon F, Canon EF, and Sony E mounts (apologies for the SL2 in the photo above.  My main computer is being repaired, and the one I’m on now is acting up, so difficult to edit).  The link is below:

Sigma 40mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens at B&H Photo

This is a superb lens, and probably the best 40mm that I’ve reviewed.  It’s not a compact lens but the optics are just astounding.  It’s also great to have that f1.4 not just for an ultra thin depth of field but also for when you’re shooting in dimly lit areas.  As I mentioned, I did review this lens.  You can find my review here.

Fuji X-S10: First Snowstorm of the Season in New York City

Fuji X-S10: First Snowstorm of the Season in New York City:

Hey everyone.  We just had our first snowstorm of the season here in NYC, and we ended up with a lot of snow.  I decided to wake up really early, and get the shoveling out of the way.  Then, I took out the Fuji X-S10, which is what I’m currently reviewing, to see if I could get a few shots just around my neighborhood.
