Leica Q Typ 116 Hand Grip Review

Note from me, Patrick: Bob at the Leica Boutique in Bergen County Camera was nice enough to loan me this hand grip while I had the Q on loan from him as well.  So, I had this review for a while but I never had the chance to post it.  I hope you enjoy!

Leica Q Typ 116 Hand Grip Review:

One of the traits I love most about Leica cameras is the ergonomics.  A lot of them fit my hands really well, and apparently, I’m not the only one who feels this way because there are other manufacturers out there that try to emulate the same feel.  However, not everyone has the same hands, which means just like there are people who find a Leica Q Typ 116 for example, the perfect fit, some will find it doesn’t offer enough support.  Some may even find it slippery.  The last thing anyone would want to do is drop a +$4,000 camera on the ground.  To solve this problem, Leica has introduced the Leica Q Typ 116 Hand Grip. iDeaUSA 11000mAh Portable Power Bank Review

iDeaUSA 11000mAh Portable Power Bank Review:

I like power banks for one simple reason: When I’m out taking pictures, I just don’t like to stop somewhere to look for an outlet to charge my devices.  I love walking; I love staying mobile.  With that said, I’m starting to use larger capacity power banks these days because not only are the batteries in my devices getting larger, I’m also finding myself having more devices that need charging.  The only major problems with using bigger capacity power banks is that they are often larger, cost more, and are more inconvenient to carry around.  So, I’m always looking for something that can keep these problems to a minimum.  One large capacity portable charger that I’ve recently tested is the iDeaUSA 11000mAh Portable Power Bank. Images From The Fuji XF 90mm F2 LM WR lens

Images From The Fuji XF 90mm F2 LM WR lens:

I’ve been spending my Saturday morning organizing my images on my computer, and I have some left over photos from when I was reviewing the Fuji XF 90mm F2 LM WR lens that I thought I would share.  Man, I simply love this lens!  This is seriously one of the best optics that Fuji or any manufacturer has released.  In my opinion, the optics are out of this world.  I’m still wondering if I made the right decision when I bought the XF 56mm APD over this lens.  I know the XF 56mm APD is also superb, and I keep telling myself that for now, the XF 56mm’s focal length just makes more sense for me.  I would be using it more often.  The focal length of the XF 90mm is just a little too long for me.  Still, the image quality from the XF 90mm simply blows me away.  If you want to see more examples from this lens, check out my review. Adding to My Fuji X Series Collection

Adding to My Fuji X Series Collection:

As some of you may know from my Instagram, I’ve added to my Fuji collection recently.  I purchased two new lenses: the XF 35mm F1.4 and the XF 56mm F1.2 APD.  I’ve been thinking about the XF 35mm for months and my decision to get the XF 56mm APD was kind of influenced by my experience with the XF 90mm F2.0, which I recently reviewed. EasyAcc Classic Gen2 6400mAh Power Bank Review

EasyAcc Classic Gen2 6400mAh Power Bank Review:

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been reviewing more and more power banks because I use them myself in my photographic kit.  They are extremely useful, and can definitely be a lifesaver.  With a few exceptions, most of the power banks that I’ve been reviewing have been large in capacity, so I thought it would be great idea to review something more compact and smaller in power capacity.  I love the capacity in the larger portable chargers but there are times when I want to carry the least amount of gear as possible like only a camera and one lens.  So, I would need something that still has the capacity to charge a large battery like the one in my iPhone 6 Plus but still something small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket since I wouldn’t be carrying a bag.  Thanks to EasyAcc, I was able to get something with these specs: the Classic Gen2 6400mAh.
