Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Leica L Mount First Impressions

Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Leica L Mount First Impressions:

If you’re looking for a 35mm lens for your L mount camera, there are a lot of ways that you can go. For one, you can get an M mount adapter, and attach M lenses.  As all of you know, there are tons of M mount 35mm lenses to choose from although personally, I don’t like this route as much because I want autofocus.  So, you can go the autofocus route, and buy the APO-Summicron-SL 35mm f2 ASPH, which is superb but also expensive.  Are there any other options?  Well, how about Sigma?  You can get one of my favorite L mount 35mm lenses, the 35mm f1.2, which I reviewed a while back (review here) but if that’s just too large and heavy, then the 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens might just be the lens for you.  It’s also a stop faster than the Summicron.  I recently received a copy for review purposes, and here are my first impressions of it. Weekly Portrait Post: Sunset Shoot With Tiffany and The Leica SL:

Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera First Impressions

Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera First Impressions:

Full frame cameras are getting cheaper these days, which is great.  Yes, we still have the super expensive stuff but nowadays, you can get a decent full frame kit for the price of an APS-C or even M43 kit.  Take for instance, the new Nikon Z5.  Ever since I heard about this camera, I’ve been really interested in reviewing it because I am a fan of the Nikon Z system, and at $1,396.95, it is right within the price range of my Fuji X-T3.  In fact, it’s actually cheaper than the newest model, the X-T4.  So, let’s take a closer look at it right now. Why I Prefer to Shoot With Just One Focal Length

Why I Prefer to Shoot With Just One Focal Length:

Hey everyone, apologies for the lack of posts.  I hurt my back in August, and I was out of commission for the entire month.  I was getting better but then it got worse.  I decided to just completely rest it for the first half of September, and now it’s finally getting better.  Anyway, I have a couple of reviews coming up but I thought I’d start off with something a little less technical just to get back into the flow of things.  For nearly all my pics on my Instagram, I hashtag under my photos something related to a 50mm lens, and often times, I get asked if I truly use just the 50mm focal length for nearly my entire work.  The answer is yes.
